Magazine cover art
Overview
For seven years I was art director of Latino Perspectives magazine, where I created or directed the creation of nearly every issue, cover to cover. Speaking of covers, here are a few samples of my work.

Trailblazers
An issue celebrating Latina trailblazers. On the road to change, these women made waves and broke the mold in their community.

The new thrift
For an issue about new ways to save money in a hard economy, we went retro for the cover. Sometimes what's old is new.

Race: Are we so different?
The Latino community was under immense pressure from political and community actions. This cover art was for a lead story about how different cultures look at the world.

Painting a paradox
For this issue's main story on 500 years of Latino art history, I invoked the gilded artwork of centuries past by literally hammering the logo out of metal for the cover.
